The N-arylation of imidazole was also successfully accomplished by using a two-dimensional [Cu(ima)2] metal-organic framework (Cu-MOF) in MeOH at room temperature (Li et al., 2013). Several A-arylimidazoles were generated in good to excellent yields from the coupling of imidazole and arylboronic acids (six examples, 76%-92% yields). The catalyst is highly stable and can be easily reused. [Pg.114]

By attaching hydrophobic moieties with postmodification method or generating MOFs with hydrophobic ligands, one can obtain MOFs with more hydrophobicity. Yang et al. synthesized some fluorinated metal-organic frameworks (FMOFs) in which hydrogen atoms were substituted with fluorine atoms in all ligands. These fluorinated MOFs had enhanced thermal stability... [Pg.308]
