Metal alkoxides unsaturated alcohol derivatives

From 1985 to the present which is now witnessing an unprecedented spurt in the chemistry of heterometal alkoxides and oxometal alkoxides (42) in general, along with alkoxide derivatives of special (substituted, chelating, or unsaturated) alcohols, as well as the rapidly developing applications of metal alkoxides for ceramic and catalytic materials coupled with an increasing emphasis on their actual structural elucidation. [Pg.243]

Efforts were made to synthesize metal derivatives of unsaturated alcohols via three routes (a) by the use of readily available and thermodynamically stable alcohols, (b) by the generation of thermodynamically less stable alcohols in situ followed by coordination to the metal centers (Eq. 192), and (c) dehydrogenation of a metal alkoxide derivative. [Pg.391]
