Start the 2D WIN-NMR program and check the functionality of the minimize/maximize button. Try to arrange the 2D and 1D WIN-NMR application windows so that each fills half the display. This will be helpful later in the processing of 2D data, where the 1D WIN-NMR options should also be accessible. Iconize the 2D WIN-NMR program by clicking the corresponding button in the title bar. [Pg.85]

Where the product is secreted, it should form the major proteinaceous component of the harvest broth. The best time to harvest wiU depend on the dynamics of protein expression, secretion and stability, but in general it is beneficial to seek an appropriate harvesting window in the production cycle where product expression and accumulation are maximized but degradation is Hmited. For example, in batch or fed-batch processes, peak production of the recombinant protein often occurs in the exponential phase, and begins to de-cHne at the point where the cell mass and total protein content of the culture reach... [Pg.959]

From a solution quality perspective, it is typically advantageous to construct windows of the largest size that can be efficiently processed by a given optimization (e.g., see Table 8.1). In such cases, therefore, it is advantageous for windows to be of similar size. However, if efficiency concerns dictate that windows cannot overlap, some windows may have to be smaller. Also, some windows may represent well-formed clusters of logic (e.g., multipliers or decoders) that are only loosely connected to the remaining circuit. Such windows can also be smaller than maximal reasonable size. [Pg.129]

In Section 2, we introduce model identification to interpret dynamic PCA, and find that the selection of the time window length can be accordingly solved with the approach of determination the order of AR model. Identification of a system model may be regarded as confirming the probability distribution of a stochastic process. From this understanding, the principle of information criteria is to select appropriate model structure to maximize the approximate extent between the real probability distribution and the estimated probability distribution based on observation data. Shannon entropy is always used to measure the approximate extent, which is represented as ... [Pg.462]

In order to estimate the effect of adiabatic conditions on the evolution of reaction, we performed a series of laboratory tests on polymerization in a cuvette placed into a foam-plastic case with organic glass windows for observation and photoinitiation. The reaction mixture - cuvette mass ratio was 1 20. The experiments showed that in this condition the process of gel formation accelerated. However, the increasing cuvette mass allowed us to reduce the maximal increase of the cuvette temperature to 10 °C (in the earlier series of orbital experiments the overheating measured several tens of degrees). This mass-to-mass ratio was kept unchanged in our orbital experiment. [Pg.101]
