Marking system, serial number

One possible marking system which has such features has been developed at this Institute (20). This marking system is based on the drilling of an array o7 holes into the item an encoding system is utilized such that the serial number is represented by the relative placement of the holes. 

The manufacturer of radiation generators should estabhsh a system that ensures the positive identification of the generator. Generators should be permanently marked with a unique model and serial number and should be designed in accordance with national and international standards.
