There are many products of the metabolism of DOPA in marine organisms, especially melanins, tunichromes (compounds capable of chelating vanaditun in the blood of certain species of asddians see Chapter 28), and various proteins bioadhesives, varnishes and cellular materials (see Chapter 18).
