Marinating agents

Delta coastal accumulations, both subaqueous and subaerial, of river-derived sediments adjacent to, or in close proximity to, the source stream, including the deposits that have been secondarily molded by various marine agents, such as waves, currents, or tides.

Vinyl acetate polymers have long been used as chewing gum bases. They have been studied as controUed release agents for programmed administration of dmgs and as a base for antifouling marine paints (166,167). 

Disinfectant Formulations and Sterilization. Hundreds of appHcations covering disinfectant compositions using sodium chlorite have been described in U.S. and foreign patents. Some examples of these are as antimicrobial additives for latexes (166), marine antifouling agents (see Coatings, marine) (167,168), antimildew detergent compositions (169), toothpaste and solution compositions for prevention and treatment of periodontal oral disease (see Dentifrices) (170—172), and compositions for the disinfection of contact lenses (qv) (173). 

Venustatriol, a marine-derived antiviral agent, as with many polyether structures, is a straightforward problem for retrosynthetic analysis. The major issues, clearance of stereocenters and topologically strategic disconnection, were readily resolved to generate the pathway of synthesis described below. 

Pseudopterosin A is a member of a group of marine natural products which show potent antiinflammatory properties, but which are not prostaglandin biosynthesis inhibitors. Structurally similar to phosphatidyl inositol, they may function as phospholipase inhibitors, and, as such, may be the forerunners of a new class of therapeutic agents. 

In this section we introduce a mobile CA model of land combat called EINSTein, developed at the Center for Naviil Analyses for the US Marine Corps. We include a discussion of this model here becau.se it is an interesting blend of CA-like local dynamics and agent-based modeling techniques.
