Major Patterns Seen in Composition Diagrams

Let us plot chlorine against TDI with data obtained from samples collected in regional studies carried out on different water sources. The following patterns are possible

Triangular distribution. Occasionally data plot in triangles in composition diagrams, as seen in Fig. 6.10. Such a distribution points to intermixing of three distinct water types  

A water type of low TDI, high Na, and low Mg and Cl A water type of medium TDI with low Na and high Mg and Cl A water type of high TDI, high Na, low Mg, and medium Cl
