Maintenance Mechanical strength

The last group of parameters relates to handling of the batteries. These include the mechanical strength (e.g., with respect to vibrations and shock accompanying transportation), maintenance, and foolproofness (a term introduced by Thomas A. Edison in 1911 as one of the characteristics of storage batteries). 

The alert mechanic informed the operations supervisors of the failures. Operations shut down the furnace. Maintenance mechanics replaced the bolts with the properly-specified high-strength stud bolts prior to any serious releases. 

Explosion suppression is a proven technology and should be considered as a candidate for explosion protection. The NFPA has published a standard reference (NFPA 69, 1986) on explosion-suppression protection. Manufacturers should be consulted on design, installation, and maintenance. But, even with explosion suppression, it is common for the explosion pressure to reach 1 atm before it is suppressed. The added pressure surge from the injection of the suppressing agent must also be considered. Therefore, sufficient mechanical strength is always required for enclosures protected by explosion suppression. 

Osteoporosis is caused by an imbalance between bone resorption and bone formation, which results in bone loss and fractures after mineral flux occurs [33].
