Magnets classification

Ferrites can be classified according to crystal stmcture, ie, cubic vs hexagonal, or magnetic behavior, ie, soft vs hard ferrites. A systematic classification as well as some appHcations ate given in Table 1 (see also Magnetic materials, bulk Magnetic materials, thin film). 

Although the size separation/classification methods are adequate in some cases to produce a final saleable mineral product, in a vast majority of cases these produce Httle separation of valuable minerals from gangue. Minerals can be separated from one another based on both physical and chemical properties (Fig. 8). Physical properties utilized in concentration include specific gravity, magnetic susceptibility, electrical conductivity, color, surface reflectance, and radioactivity level. Among the chemical properties, those of particle surfaces have been exploited in physico-chemical concentration methods such as flotation and flocculation. The main objective of concentration is to separate the valuable minerals into a small, concentrated mass which can be treated further to produce final mineral products. In some cases, these methods also produce a saleable product, especially in the case of industrial minerals. 

Here, we review the electronic properties of MWCNT and SWCNT probed by magnetic measurements. MWCNTs are discussed with a classification of the following four categories (1) crude CNTs, (2) purified CNTs, (3) aligned CNTs and (4) alkali-doped CNTs. 

It should be noted that the decomposition shown in Eq. 3.7.2 is not necessarily a subdivision of separate sets of spins, as all spins in general are subject to both relaxation and diffusion. Rather, it is a classification of different components of the overall decay according to their time constant. In particular cases, the spectrum of amplitudes an represents the populations of a set of pore types, each encoded with a modulation determined by its internal gradient. However, in the case of stronger encoding, the initial magnetization distribution within a single pore type may contain multiple modes (j)n. In this case the interpretation could become more complex [49]. 

Separation of the residual fractions is as follows separation of CFCs by condensation separation of expanded PS and PU foam by air classification separation of iron with a magnetic separator and separation of nonferrous metals with an eddy-current separator. 

In this section the salts based on metallocenium cations and metal bisdichalcogenate anions will be reviewed according to the previously referred structural classification. After referring to the general characteristics of the crystal structures the supramolec-ular features will be correlated with the magnetic properties.
