Magnetization sandwich films

Wang SX et al (2000) Sandwich films-properties of a new soft magnetic material. Nature 407 150-151... [Pg.84]

After removing the sample from the magnetic field the polymer is photo-crosslinked from both sides (a few minutes are sufficient) using a UV-lamp. If Tg is relatively low it can be helpful to photo-crosslink under cooling with an ice-bath so that the mesogens do not reorient due to the heat produced by the UV-lamp. The sandwiched film should now be transparent and can be removed from the glass slide after dissolving the sacrificial layer in water. [Pg.39]

After the discovery of the oscillatory magnetic interlayer coupling between ferromagnetic films separated by a paramagnetic spacer these sandwiched systems have been a subject of intense research. There have been many attempts to explain the magnetic interlayer coupling and a great number of theoretical and experimental studies have been performed . ... [Pg.239]

Nanostmctured sensors coated with SWCNT forests and AuNP films were used to fabricate sandwich immunoassays for prostate cancer biomarker PSA [10,43,46,64]. As in Fig. 1.2a, conventional secondary antibodies (Ab2) conjugated with enzyme label HRP were used, as well as carbon nanotubes (CNT) or magnetic particles conjugated with Ab2 (Fig. 1.2c,g). These heavily labeled detection particles [69] can replace singly-labeled HRP-Ab2 in immunoassays to greatly enhance sensitivity. [Pg.10]
