This is a concentrated household hard-surface cleaner designed to be used at a dilution of 1-3 ounces per gallon. Formula CH-103

Charge the water to a mixing vessel and start agitation. Charge the Macol TD-12 and mix until dissolved and free of fish eyes. Charge the ramaining ingredients and mix until clear.

Household hard surface cleaners are defined in this discussion as formulations, powder or liquid, used to clean hard surfaces in the home, excluding dishes. Therefore, cleaners used on soft surfaces in the home — upholstery and carpet cleaners, fabric stain cleaners, etc. — are not discussed here. Also excluded from this discussion are household products that are used primarily as treatments rather than cleaners per se — polishes, floor waxes, tarnish removers, and drain cleaners (decloggers). Hard surface household cleaners are available in various types. The concentrated products contain about 10% surfactant, often nonionics. The spray-on liquids, already diluted, may only contain 1% surfactant. Powdered hard surface cleaners are more likely to contain anionic surfactants, usually only 1 or 2%. Most household cleaners are made alkaline and usually contain a sequestering agent such as sodium gluconate. A water-soluble solvent is often added. Disinfectants, perfumes, and other components are present. Surfactants are isolated by extracting the dried solids with methanol or methylene chloride (24). 

Water soluble. Exceptionally stable in alkali systems with outstanding compatibility in concentrated electrolyte solutions. Effective agent for coupling nonlonlc surfactants with liquid, alkali detergent systems. Excellent detergency in hard-surface and household cleaners. Moderate foamer.
