The use of robotic systems is becoming increasingly common in pharmaceutical analysis. In fact, this Is one of the areas where robots are gradually replacing conventional techniques in control laboratories. 

As an example the determination of a contraceptive in commercial tables is described, an application usually calling for a variety of preliminary operations [17], The robot station used for this purpose includes a large number of peripherals and the operational sequence involves nearly 30 steps, the most significant of which are as follows  

The results obtained are comparable to and in some respects even better than those provided by manual systems.
