Lipitor about

The top-selling drug in 2007 was Lipitor with about US 12 billion in sales and the top biopharmaceutical was Enbrel, which brings in about US 2.5 billion revenue.

Lipitor is currently one of the best selling drugs for lowering cholesterol. Searching in WDI for Lipitor produces the page shown in Figure 10.1 [46]. The preferred name is Atorvastatin Calcium . Atorvastatin (Lipitor) is used to decrease patient serum cholesterol levels. It works by inhibiting an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase.
