Linkedln

1 have found Linkedln to be a great way to find incredible marketing talent. 

It s not enough to post your job opening on a career site and expect the right candidates to come flooding through your door. You need to use a mix of tactics to be truly effective. Linkedln, essentially a social network site where people have their resumes up for everyone to view, is a great way to recruit the best of the best through your own network. 

In fact, according to a 2013 study by the Society for Human Resource Management, 77 percent of employers use social networks to recruit. And among the recruiters using social tools, 94 percent say they used Linkedln. With numbers like that, you can t eifford to ignore Linkedln. 

Here are a few techniques to help with your Linkedln recruiting efforts

We are living in such a connected century that networks (e.g., social networks) are attracting more and more attentions of people every day. Twitter, Facebook, and Linkedln are among the most celebrated companies. 

She uses Facebook, Twitter, Linkedln, Google+, Pinterest, and so on, for her own enjoyment. 

Figure 5-1 shows you the feature breakdown of each Linkedln Premium account so you can decide what suits your needs. 

Schedule promotions spemning a few weeks for each piece of content. Make sure to create a custom image for Facebook, Google+, Linkedln, and Pinterest. And the more creative your messaging, the more people will want to share and download your asset. Take a look at a few sample social promotions focusing on new content assets in Figure 6-11. 

Linkedln is a great place for your readers to share their content with other business-minded professionals. The Linkedln Share button can help you extend your reach. Just like the previous social media buttons I mentioned, the Linkedln Share button allows readers to share your post with their own networks. 

Figure 8-15 shows the Linkedln Share button generator. As with Facebook, you can customize the look of a Linkedln Share button. 

Engaging in conversations with professionals is what Linkedln is all about, and Linkedln Groups do a nice job of facilitating conversations. This is where you and your sales team (who should eJl be active on Linkedln) Ccin cinswer questions, pose questions, cind post links to your thought leadership. 

Also, be sure you are participating in Q A by doing a search in Linkedln Answers for relevant topics and then subscribing to the answer feed to further establish your credibility. 

Linkedln also gives you many options to control the look and feel of your ad, including text only, ime e, and video ads. According to Linkedln, an image can help your ad get up to 20 percent more clicks, so keep that in mind. 

Linkedln is a great resource for good inside sales teeim candidates. Scout for people who have phone sales experience in high-volume businesses such as technology. You probably will find a lot of reps with phone sales experience within the technology sector.
