The rate law, rate constants, and activation parameters have been obtained for exchange of trifluoroacetate with its dinuclear molybdenum(ii) complex [M02-(OaCCFa). The results are discussed with particular reference to related dimolybdenum and dirhenium metal-metal-bonded compounds.
