Library predefined

The program system COBRA [118, 119] can be regarded as a rule- and data-based approach, but also applies the principles of fragment-based (or template-based) methods extensively (for a detailed description sec Chapter 11, Sections 7.1 and 7.2 in the Handbook). COBRA uses a library of predefined, optimized 3D molecular fragments which have been derived from crystal structures and foi ce-field calculations. A library of 4 chain extended homopolymers and 12 diblock copoly(2-oxazoline)s was prepared from 2-methyl, 2-ethyl, 2-nonyl, PheOx in a very short period of time [90]. When you use a diode in a circuit, you will have to specify a model for the diode. In our case, the model will tell PSpice the value of Is for our diode. The class libraries have a number of predefined models that are usually used in a classroom environment. However, the model for this diode is not in our libraries so we will have to define a new model for it. The part for the diode you should use is DbreaH. This diode is used to define your own model. Synthesis is not the right mechanism to build a memory such as a ROM or a RAM. RAMs are usually available predefined in a technology library. When a module such as a RAM is required, it is better to treat this as a component, instantiate this in the model, and then synthesize the instantiating model. A synthesis tool merely creates a black box for the RAM into which the designer would later link in the RAM module. 

The user may also use a library of predefined generic structures — templates — for drawing of complex e.g. polycyclic) compounds, and even to add new templates into this library. 

Jacobsen and co-workers synthesized a library of compounds with no predefined functionalities or subunits (Fig. 3) Two amino acids (positions 1 and 2), a turn-inducing fragment and a terminating group were u.sed as variables [6J.
