Level of consensus

If his level of consensus trance is still deep, he may buy the promise that more of the rewards the culture offers is what will satisfy him. This is a very frequent belief and one actively encouraged by the culture itself. It keeps people working hard and distracts their attention from deeper questions. We see innumerable examples of, say, someone who is very well off financially nevertheless working himself to death to get more and more wealth, never slowing down to enjoy life. 

There are other times, far more frequent when you first begin practicing self-remembering, when the main experience you have is not of a new and wonderful clarity but a realization of how difficult it can be to get clear, of the power of the automated thought processes that are driving your life. There has been a shift in your depth within the level of consensus trance, or clear observation of it, but no attainment of the altered and higher state of genuine self-consciousness.

A good general level of consensus was reached on the conclusions and no split views were recorded. The industry representation added a comment, expressing their doubt on the ease of implementation of secondary measures for dioxin abatement.

In this section we begin by reviewing experimental studies of the rheological behavior of unvulcanized elastomers and related materials. We then seek to correlate this behavior in terms of the theory of viscoelasticity. First, the linear theory of viscoelasticity in which there is broad consensus of agreement in the rheological community is discussed. We then describe the nonlinear theory, where the level of consensus is much less. 

Although FP data may be relatively unusual to the user of conventional descriptive profile, a series of metrological properties (accuracy, repeatability, sensitivity, robustness and level of consensus) may provide a good indication of the quality of the results. These properties, how to estimate them and their pertinence in the case of FP are discussed in this section. 

As already discussed, the level of consensus cannot really be a quality criterion in the case of FP since in its very principle it is assumed that different subjects may not perceive and hence describe the product set in the same way. 

It is nevertheless informative to assess the level of consensus among the subjects, as it gives an idea of the diversity of perceptions. It can be estimated in several ways, depending on the data analysis technique that is initially used. Most of the time, the level of agreement is primarily examined in terms of data configuration. 

Acoustic data fusion is a technique that combines information from multiple receivers or receiving platforms about a common object or channel. Instead of each receiver making a decision, relevant information from the different receivers is sent to a common control unit where the acoustic data is combined and processed (hence the name data fusion). After fusion, a decision can be relayed or fed back to each of the receivers. If data transmission is a concern, due to time constraints, cost, or security, other techniques can be used in which each receiver makes a decision and transmits only the decision. The control unit makes a global decision based on the decisions of all of the receivers and relays this global decision back to the receivers. This is called distributed detection. The receivers can then be asked to re-evaluate their individual decisions based on the new global decision. This process could continue until all of the receivers are in agreement or could be terminated whenever an acceptable level of consensus is attained. 

Engineering research at universities uses the above science research dynamic as a model it follows a similar modern trajectory. The search for new engineering principles also attempts to move from one level of consensus to a next higher level of consensus. fact, it is difficult to distinguish engineering research from science research, and much of what is called engineering research is essentially science research in that it focuses on analysis, rather than on design (synthesis). 

Let us define the level of consensus as the step number in a consecutive hierarchical generalization of classification estimates.
