Level Key Changes

Insert a loop with key information into a project. Most commercial loops from Sonic Foundry will have this information. [Pg.72]

Right-click the track that contains the loop and, from the context menu, select Properties. [Pg.72]

From the Root note list, select the new key for the loop. [Pg.72]

While all of the methods for changing the pitch are fundamentally the same, changing the root note of a loop as it occurs in a project is probably the last method you should use. The default root note information saved with an ACIDized loop was saved there by the artist who recorded the loop and provides important information both to you, the composer, and to AQD itself about the inherent key of the audio file. In most cases, it is probably better to change the key of the track that contains the loop instead of changing the root note of the loop in the properties dialog box, even though the results are identical. See Chapter 10 for more information about the root notes of loops. [Pg.72]

Through meticulous splitting of a loop into one or two note events, entirely new melodies can be created with the use of event-level key changes (see Fignre 3.28). While the distortion of snch drastic changes may limit this process somewhat, the increased variety that this process provides makes it possible to avoid the bane of all loop-based music composition—too mucb repetition. [Pg.77]

An ideal risk outcome measure must reliably and accrrrately measure the level and change in harm. Moreover, it must first lead to a method through which the key processes that are involved in causing harm may be identified, and second deliver approximately real time measures of the outcomes for which it is an indicator. However, no such risk outcome measure exists in healthcare therefore, less ideal measures have been developed and applied. [Pg.90]

Set the loop bar to encompass the first four measures and draw an event from a simple bass line in a track in the project. The more simple the bass line is, the easier it is to hear the key changes. At this point, if you also add a basic beat and a piano, the song sounds nearly complete, if a bit boring. Even at tbis very simple level, you can already hear the familiar pop pattern. The project ends up looking like the one illustrated in Figure 3.23. [Pg.73]

The Building Regulations Approved Document C was revised in 2004. One of the key changes was that the old trigger levels for methane and carbon dioxide were removed (1% and 1.5% v/v, respectively). The guidance now requires a risk-based approach to the assessment of groimd gas. The key points are listed below ... [Pg.9]

The tetrahedral network can be considered the idealized stmcture of vitreous siUca. Disorder is present but the basic bonding scheme is still intact. An additional level of disorder occurs because the atomic arrangement can deviate from the hiUy bonded, stoichiometric form through the introduction of intrinsic (stmctural) defects and impurities. These perturbations in the stmcture have significant effects on many of the physical properties. A key concern is whether any of these defects breaks the Si—O bonds that hold the tetrahedral network together. Fracturing these links produces a less viscous stmcture which can respond more readily to thermal and mechanical changes. [Pg.498]
