Laundry room

The next day I still didn t feel well but I went back to work. My joints and body ached all over and my face and skin were blotchy. No one was allowed to go into the guest house. When I went into the laundry room I felt worse, but I didn t understand I was reacting to the laundry products. I also felt worse when I folded the laundry. I thought maybe I was coming down with a cold because it was winter and many people were sick. That night I went home and spent the evening in bed. 

The basement was better than a toy store. Yes, the old-fashioned milk chute in the kitchen wall was enchanting, and the laundry chute was fun because it was big enough to throw down Ernie, my stuffed dog companion, so my brother could catch him below in the laundry room, as our voices echoed up and down the chute. But the basement... 

Floor plans provide builders and families a quick look at many aspects of a house s design. They are especially helpful in showing the space and size relationships of rooms and how people will move through the house. Floor plans can answer questions such as Is the laundry room near the bedrooms Is there enough space in the family room for a pool table If someone comes in from outside with muddy shoes wUl they have to walk on the carpet (Figure 19-14). 

Anyone who has a clothes dryer in the laundry room, or a hair dryer in the bathroom, already has a basic understanding of how heated air will pick up and carry away excess moisture. 

Metal reinforced concrete floors could perhaps be made part of the equipotential zone by a bonding connection to the reinforcement. It should be effective if the metal mesh is electrically continuous. Where this is impracticable and there is a substantial shock risk - in wet kitchens or laundry rooms, for example - it is suggested that the location be regarded as outside the equipotential zone (see section 471-08-03) and the disconnection times reduced to those in Table 41 A. Alternatively, an insulating floor covering should be provided. 

Supplementary bonding must be provided in bathrooms even if there are satisfactory metal-to-metal joints because of the enhanced shock risk see section 601. Consideration should be given to the provision of supplementary equipotential bonding in kitchens, sculleries and laundry rooms with conducting floors, such as quarry tiles, particularly if they are likely to be wet, again because of the enhanced shock risk. Similar locations in commercial and industrial premises should receive the same consideration.

Raid the laundry room. Before bed, crumple up dryer sheets and insert them into shoes. 

Similarly, where concrete is continuously dry, such as the interior of a building, there is little risk of corrosion from chloride ions present in the hardened concrete. However, interior locations that are wetted occasionally, such as kitchens, laundry rooms or buildings constructed with lightweight aggregate that is subsequently sealed (e.g., with tiles) before the concrete dries out, are susceptible to corrosion damage. 

How is the water distributed on Earth Most of the water cannot be used for drinking because 97.5% of water on Earth is salt water. 2/3 of fresh water are frozen in polar caps and ice. Most of the rest is underground and only 0.3 percent is surface water. Ereshwater lakes, most notably Lake Baikal in Russia and the Great Lakes in North America, contain seven-eighths of this fresh surface water. A typical household uses 65% of fresh water in the bathroom, 15% in the laundry room, 10% in the kitchen and 10% outdoors. This amounts to about 50 1 per person per day. The increasing population causes severe problems for water supply. In Fig. 1.3 the estimated scarcity of water for 2025 is shown.
