Laser scan through resonance

UQ = 16876 9196 cm given by Eq.(3). In Fig.11 is shown (lower part) a laser frequency scan through resonance, with the energy of the accelerator set to E = Mc [y(3) -l]. A sharp Doppler free feature, with a homogeneous linewidth of y is observed. In the upper part of Fig.11 is shown the resonant enhancement of the two-photon signal, when changing the particle velocity around 3, given by... [Pg.500]

The fiber optic refractive index sensor finds use in biomedical applications. It uses a silicon chip with optical waveguides forming ring resonators. When the laser wavelength is scanned, the resonators cause dips in the power transmitted through the device. The wavelength at which these dips occur is a measure of the refractive index of the substance in contact with the chip surface. [Pg.429]

The assigment of the parent ion [FB(CD3OD)2] as the precursor of the fluoroanisole product has been clearly demonstrated by an infrared UV doubleresonance experiment. Here, the product ion signal is monitored as the infrared excitation is scanned. When the IR laser is in resonance with the C-O stretching of the methanol dimer within the 1-2 cluster, a decrease of the product signal is observed since the population of the parent ion decreases by the loss of one methanol molecule through the IR predissociation process (Brutschy et al. 1992). [Pg.137]
