Laser components

The foundation for the development of these techniques is built on investigations into photon migration processes [2, 9]. Subsequent, detailed examination by Everall et al. [10, 11] demonstrated that the inelastically scattered (Raman) component decays substantially more slowly than its elastically scattered counterpart (i.e. the laser light) due to the regeneration of the Raman signal from the laser component. Discrimination between diffusely scattered photons and the ballistic and snake components is achieved by gating the detector in the temporal or spatial domain. [Pg.49]

The XeCl laser (308 nm)-induced decomposition of Kapton is studied to identify reaction steps leading to the previously mentioned gaseous products, and to identify the intermediate steps of the surface carbonization of Kapton. The XeCl laser is applied in the industrial processing of polyimide due to the reliability of its optical and laser components at the emission... [Pg.162]

Special requirements must be met in the case of high power laser components e. g. [45b and 106d]. A complete assessment of laser fusion coatings was published by Apfel [113]. [Pg.465]

The scientific misunderstanding was implemented in equipment capable of handling low-flash point solvents adopted chiefly in the miaoelectronics (solder residues on printed wire boards (PWBs)), aerospace (beryllium subassemblies in inertial guidance instruments), and optic (wax coatings on laser components) products and reported in non-peer reviewed scientific publications. As an example of the latter, consider the following ... [Pg.174]

The detectors used include Si, InGaAs, PbS, PbSe, and pyroelectrics. Photodiodes and photoconductors offer the best sensitivity at some specific wavelengths, but thermal detectors with their wide and flat spectral response can be used with almost any laser. For representative information, see the laser components website listed in Section 6.8. [Pg.180]
