Laminate wood flooring manufacturing

Amino resins are manufactured throughout the industrialized world to provide a wide variety of useful products. Adhesives (qv), representing the largest single market, are used to make plywood, chipboard, and sawdust board. Other types are used to make laminated wood beams, parquet flooring, and for furniture assembly (see Wood-BASED composites and laminates). 

In addition to the common applications of PVC in flooring and floor tiles, there are also applications of PU (coatings for flooring), polyamide (PA) (woven carpets and rugs), linoleum (manufactured by oxidising linseed oil mixed with pine resin and wood flour in the form of sheets on jute backing), wood/thermoset composites (thermosets like PE, UF, polyisocyanates used as veneers, in plywood, particleboard, fibreboard, laminates), wood fibre/thermoplastic composites (for industrial flooring with PE). 

The largest single use is as a resin to bond laminated wood products and to bind wood chips (particle board) used in furniture, flooring. Also used in the manufacture of carpet, wallpapers, and fiberglass insulation. Used to make creaseproof, flame-resistant, and shrinkproof fabrics (used on most cottons and linens). Cigarette smoke. Kerosene heaters. Used as a preservative in cosmetics, toiletries, food containers, and medicines... 

Several other archery bow manufacturers have installed catalyst-heat systems for making wood-plastics but little is known about their production. A number of pilot plant operations have been installed in the United States but little of this proprietory information is available. Pilot plant quantities of cutlery handles have been produced for market studies, a laminated type of flooring was produced using a styrene-polyester composite cured in a hot press, parquet flooring using the catalyst-heat system is presently being produced for market studies. Many other small volume items, such as, jewelry, bird calls, transformer cores, etc. are finding their way into the market place.
