Pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) knowledge creation is the process of building on current understanding of data that is already acquired by generating more data (information) that can be translated into knowledge. It entails the use of (valid) models to synthesize data, estimate inestimable uncertainty, or supplement data for further knowledge acquisition (1, 2). 

The procedure for the creation of knowledge-based 3D-CAD models is based on multifaceted types of representation which are implemented in leading CAD systems depending on the specific forms of knowledge (Fig. 10.6) and covers possibilities for action of the product designer in the knowledge-based model. The procedure consists of individually associated methods and operates based on the developed generic representation model (Fig. 10.7).

This book concerns the creation of a myth, the myth of the disease-centred model of drug action, and how that myth could be accepted as a real description of the world. It therefore involves questions about the nature of knowledge and the relation between knowledge and power.
