At the end of each month, the field cost engineer collects all current information on a detailed cost report form. As these are actual costs, they can be used to estimate future job costs to completion. Daily reports of unit-cost progress for concrete, excavation, masonry, steel, piping, and electrical work, etc., are then used to predict possible overruns or underruns for the various items. Analysis and comparison with the original estimate point out trouble spots for early attention. If an item is running into difficulty, it is red-flagged to the resident and projec t engineers for remedial action. 

Studies may be designed for estimating exposures to a wide array of wildlife, including birds, mammals and amphibians. Many regulatory requirements involve birds, and less emphasis is currently placed on other species. As regulatory requirements evolve, ecological risk assessments will be required for more species. This may require alternative approaches for food item analysis to allow estimates of pesticide ingestion.

The second component of analysis for determining the cognitive load effects of nanoscience and materials science contexts on exam items for the two different chemistiy courses, involved a paired item analysis. Two nanoscience items in the sub-categories of spectroscopy and band theory, as well as two materials items in the sub-categories of intermolecular forces (IMF) and Lewis stmctures, were inserted into the practice exam to serve as paired items in these same sub-categories. The first comparison we analyzed was both groups of students differential performance on non-nanoscience and materials exam items versus nanoscience and materials items (Figures 4 5). 

In terms of physiological research, flie neuronal texture of the perceived scene is no longer homogeneous and the target is not highlighted due to the neuronal filter output. This explains the requirement for an item per item analysis by the visual system, leading to an exhaustive search. 

Analysis of liver, kidney and brain provide the most widely accepted diagnosis of metal concentrations that may produce toxicosis (26, 30, 72). Liver and kidney accumulate most inorganic forms of metals, and organometallic forms of compounds such as methyl mercury may concenti ate in the brain (72). The route of exposure can be evaluated through food item analysis. Food samples can be collected, identified, and separated for residue analysis. The concentration data will provide a distribution of metal(s) in the dietary components (73). Regurgitation samples from some species can also provide food samples to quantify metal exposure 57, 60).
