IRPs

The diffusion coefficient has been commonly reported ia cm /s ia many apphcations. Hereafter, irP/s will be used since it uses the basic SI units. 

The ways of assessing profitabihty to be considered in this section are (1) discounted-cash-flow rate of return (DCFRR), (2) net present value (NPV) based on a particiilar discount rate, (3) eqmvalent maximum investment period (EMIP), (4) interest-recovery period (IRP), and (5) discounted breakeven point (DEEP). 

C. G. Sinclair [Chem. Process. E/ig., 47, 147 (1966)] has considered similar parameters to the (EMIP) and (IRP) based on a cumulative-discounted-cash-flow curve. 

Consideration of the cash-flow stages in Fig. 9-10 shows the factors that can affecd the (EMIP) and (IRP). if the reqiiired capital investment is increased, it is necessary to increase the rate of income after startup for the (EMIP) to remain the same. In order to have the (EMIP) small, it is necessary to keep the research and development, design, and construction stages short. 

A solution of 7-chloro-2.3-dlhydro-1-acetyl-S-phenyl-1H-1,4-benzodlazepine-4-oxlde 1 (7 0 g, 22 mmol) in AC20 (60 mL) was relKjxed lor 7 h. The solvent was removed m vacuum arxl the residue was triturated with EtaO. The crystalline product after recrystaillzation from hexane CH2CI2 gave 4.6 g ol 2 (59%), irp ITT-ITg-C. 

This section provides some laboratory formulation and test data illustrating the effects of the antireversion agent applied in compounds typical of some industrial rubber products (IRPs) (Table 14.48). A more extensive list of potential applications is given at the end of this section. Details are reported by Datta and Ingham [88]. 

To prepare a-saxitoxinol, saxitoxin was reduced with sodium borohydride and purified by chromatography on IRP-64 and Bio-Gel P2 (14,22,23). Current records from single-channel experiments using this material are shown in Figure 13. Note the absence of blocking events with long dwell times that would indicate the presence of residual saxitoxin.
