Bromine ( Br) (f=3/2). Two ionic liquids compounds tetra-propylammonium bromotrifluoroborate [(C3H7)4N][BF3Br] and tetra-butylammonium bromotrifluoroborate [(C4Hg)4N][BF3Br] were prepared using one-step reactions and characterised by IR, H-NMR, C-NMR, Br-NMR and F-NMR. The Br chemical shifts were 92, 89 and the F chemical shifts were 113.4, 113.1 for 1 and 2, respectively. " ... [Pg.150]

For the purpose of developing ionic liquids which molecularly dissolve biopolymers, we designed ether-containing N, IV -dialkyl imidazolium derivatives 26,27 [120]. These compounds are obtained as solid after tfeeze drying. They eventually become liquid at room temperature in air, probably due to absorption of water from the atmosphere. These ionic liquids were miscible with water. The content of water in these ionic liquids was 2.6 wt% for 26 and 2.5 wt% for 27, as determined by Karl Fischer s method. To compare the solvent properties of these ionic liquids with conventional ionic liquids, compound 25 was saturated with water (water content, 2.5 wt%) and used as a reference. [Pg.502]

Abstract This chapter mainly focuses on recent research progress in photofunctional rare earth materials based on ionic liquids, with an emphasis on the photofunctional rare earth hybrid materials using ionic liquid compounds as both double functional linkers and matrices. It covers photofunctional rare earth compounds with ionic liquids, photofunctional rare earth compounds dispersed in ionic liquids, and photofunctional rare earth hybrid materials based on ionic liquid with special groups (organically modified siloxanes, carboxyl groups, and thiol groups). Herein we focus on the work of our group in the recent years. [Pg.179]
