Instrumentation/control systems containment loss

APIOOO provides instrumentation and controls to sense accident situations and initiate ESFs for the mitigation. The occurrence of a limiting fault, such as a loss of coolant accident or a secondary system break, requires a reactor trip plus actuation of one or more of die ESFs. This combination of events prevents or mitigates damage to the core and reactor coolant system components, and provides containment integrity.
