Induction programmes

Following an analysis of training needs, built around experience, curriculum vitae and job description, an induction programme for a new post or role can be developed. As trainee, trainer or manager, it is worthwhile applying a simple template to ensure that key information is understood and all new staff are benchmarked to accepted quality standards. Review of training needs will highlight unfamiliar tasks that must be... [Pg.16]

Outlines the steps that should be taken to safeguard young and inexperienced workers and the topics that should be included in an induction programme. [Pg.718]

The employees of contractors either need to attend induction programmes run by the principal or to attend an induction programme ran by the contractor which has the principal s approval. In some industries such as mining, where contract employees m go to mary sites and work for marty principals, a common basic induction, for which a ticket is issued, has been introduced in some places. This avoids the need to constantly receive the same training. [Pg.75]

Fig. 11.4. Model for cholinergic signalling in the intestinal mucosa, providing a possible rationale for AChE secretion by parasitic nematodes. ACh released from enteric cholinergic motor neurons stimulates chloride secretion, mucus secretion and Paneth cell exocytosis through muscarinic receptors. Secretory responses may be modulated by mast cell mediators, either directly or via the induction of neural reflex programmes. The role of muscarinic receptor-positive cells in the lamina propria of rats infected with N. brasiliensis is undetermined, as are potential mechanisms of trans-epithelial transport of the enzymes. Adapted from Cooke (1984). Fig. 11.4. Model for cholinergic signalling in the intestinal mucosa, providing a possible rationale for AChE secretion by parasitic nematodes. Fig. 9 Three haptens, [15]—[17], containing a 1,2-aminoalcohol functionality were investigated as alternatives for esterase and amidase induction. Of antibodies raised against hapten [15], 50% were shown to catalyse the hydrolysis of ester [18], thereby establishing the necessity for a compact haptenic structure. Hapten [19] along with [16] was employed in a heterologous immunization programme to elicit both a general and acid/base function in the antibody binding site.
