Ukraine, Professor, Dean of Physics and Engineering Faculty, head of Department of High-temperature Materials and Powder Metallurgy of the National Technical University of Ukraine Kyiv Polytechnic Institute . Prof. P. Lohoda has edited 3 hooks and is author of over 200 archival research papers. He has an h-index of 4 and 51 citations in Scopus. [Pg.637]

Alkylated aromatics have excellent low temperature fluidity and low pour points. The viscosity indexes are lower than most mineral oils. These materials are less volatile than comparably viscous mineral oils, and more stable to high temperatures, hydrolysis, and nuclear radiation. Oxidation stabihty depends strongly on the stmcture of the alkyl groups (10). However it is difficult to incorporate inhibitors and the lubrication properties of specific stmctures maybe poor. The alkylated aromatics also are compatible with mineral oils and systems designed for mineral oils (see Benzene Toulene Xylenes and ethylbenzene). ... [Pg.264]

The physical and chemical properties of any material are closely related to the type of its chemical bonds. Oxygen atoms form partially covalent bonds with metals that account for the unique thermal stability of oxide compounds and for typically high temperatures of electric and magnetic structure ordering, high refractive indexes, but also for relatively narrow spectral ranges of transparency. [Pg.8]
