As it was said in this book and not once, commercial HDPE provide a whole spec-trnm of polymers in terms of their molecnlar weight distribution even at the same valnes of specific gravity and melt flow index. They all have different mechanical properties and different flowability, which, of conrse, affects their performance, and flexural strength of the respective prodnct among different properties. 

Other effects of adding wood to plastics can be stated as follows. With increasing content of wood in WPG product, the tensile strength decreases [Figure 5.97(d)], flexural strength increases (up to a maximum), melt index decreases, and notched impact energy increases (while unnotched decreases).

Although glass spheres are classified as nonreinforcing fillers, the addition of 40 g of these spheres to 60 g of nylon 66 increases the flexural modulus, the compressive strength, and the melt index of the polymer. The tensile strength, the impact strength, the creep resistance, and the elongation of these composites are less than those of the unfilled nylon 66.

The particle size also has an effect on the property performance of WPG products. For increasing wood particle size in PP-based WPG products, both melt index and tensile elongation increase, notched impact energy increases but unnotched impact energy decreases, and flexural modulus and strength increase for particles smaller than 0.25 mm.
