INDEX final version

The Editor-in-Chief is most grateful to Mr. Gordon S. Bates and Dr. P. E. Georghiou for their invaluable assistance in completing the final version of this volume, and to Dr. S. Kasparek for preparing the two sets of subject indexes arranged in both the conventional and systematic nomenclatures. Thanks are also due to Mrs. Laura Dodds and Miss Diane L. Dowlianiuk, who typed the entire manuscript. [Pg.159]

To avoid one of the main pitfalls of multiauthor works, we have intentionally adopted similar writing styles, and the final version of the monograph was then edited by us for consistency of grammar and style, for scientific accuracy and for similar formatting of illustrations and tables. The work has been extensively cross-referenced and indexed. [Pg.947]

They are usually published in the FR in draft form to allow the public to comment on them before the issuance of a final version. Guidance documents concerning product quality (CMC), pre-clinical testing and clinical trial development can be found on the FDA web site at www.fda. gov/eder/guidance/index.htm. [Pg.1642]

Figure 6b. Schottky plot of data on the steady-state ionic current obtained by different experimenters and brought to the same basis of thickness determination. The smooth lines are calculated from the expression fitted to Young s data (Figure 6a). The dots are experimental data due to Vermilyea," (numerical data supplied by Vermilyea) converted by factor allowing for estimated density of oxide (7.93 X 0.99/8.74). The crosses are preliminary unpublished data obtained by Zobel and converted to the refractive index quoted in Young.[For final version, see Young and Zobel, J. Electrochem. Soc. 113 (1966) 277.]... Hardcopy SAS manuals (user s guides and reference) and electronic documentation have evolved over the years. In SAS 6 and earlier versions, SAS manuals were available only in hardcopy, and you had to use the SAS windowing environment for electronic help. With SAS 8, you can still get hardcopy manuals and you can use the SAS windowing environment to access help just as before. However, SAS also sells a CD-ROM called SAS OnlineDoc for SAS 8 that gives you the SAS manuals in HTML or PDF format. Finally, you can now get free SAS 8 documentation over the Internet in HTML format from SAS at http //support.sas.com/documentation/onlinedoc/index.html. [Pg.297]

In the Colour Index both conventional sulphur dyes and their leuco counterparts are allocated the same Cl constitution number a different number is given to the related solubilised version. Thus, for example, Cl Sulphur Black 1 and Cl Leuco Sulphur Black 1 have the reference Cl 53185 whereas Cl Solubilised Sulphur Black 1 appears under Cl 53186. Because of the complexity of the final products, sulphur dyes are classified according to the chemical structure of the organic starting material that predominates in the manufacturing process. Typical intermediates include aromatic amines, with or without nitro and phenolic groups, and diphenylamine derivatives. [Pg.323]

This edition of the Fuel Cell Handbook is more comprehensive than previous versions in that it includes several changes. First, calculation examples for fuel cells are included for the wide variety of possible applications. This includes transportation and auxiliary power applications for the first time. In addition, the handbook includes a separate section on alkaline fuel cells. The intermediate temperature solid-state fuel cell section is being developed. In this edition, hybrids are also included as a separate section for the first time. Hybrids are some of the most efficient power plants ever conceived and are actually being demonstrated. Finally, an updated list of fuel cell URLs is included in the Appendix and an updated index assists the reader in locating specific information quickly. [Pg.13]

This material is excerpted from the full P-version of the text. The final printed version will be more concise due to further editing and economical constraints. A Table of Contents and an index are located at the end of this paper. [Pg.154]

Finally, Oracle supports a feature called editions (Oracle Edition-Based Redefinition 2009). An edition is a logical grouping of database objects such as views and triggers that are provided to applications for accessing a database. Using editions, database objects are partitioned into two sets - those that can be editioned and those that cannot. Any object that has a persistent extent, in particular tables and indexes, cannot be editioned. So, an edition is a collection of primarily views and triggers that provide an encapsulated version of the database. [Pg.160]

It is unclear how different component scores are aggregated and weighted in the final index - the Coalition reports that suggested weights were defined based on a survey of Coalition members - but future versions of the Index promise to be based on stakeholder desires and a multi-criteria analysis that should allow different audiences to weight their own, customized index. [Pg.152]
