Another way to identify correlations is to plot the values of the parameters in graphical form this can help to identify any correlations and the presence of outliers. A Craig plot is a two-dimerrsional scatterplot of one parameter against another ideally, the molecules should sample from all four quadrants of the plot. 

The use of high purity selenium in digital imaging is considered a potential market. Selenium-based plates can be used to replace conventional silver-based x-ray film, and in 1994 the Xerox Corporation introduced a selenium-based product, Verdefilm, for use in graphic arts appHcations.

Kramers and Alberda (K20) have reported some data in graphical form for the residence-time distribution of water with countercurrent air flow in a column of 15-cm diameter and 66-cm height packed with 10-mm Raschig rings. It was concluded that axial mixing increased with increasing gas flow rate and decreasing liquid flow rate, and that the results were not adequately represented by the diffusion model. 

Ross (R2) measured liquid-phase holdup and residence-time distribution by a tracer-pulse technique. Experiments were carried out for cocurrent flow in model columns of 2- and 4-in. diameter with air and water as fluid media, as well as in pilot-scale and industrial-scale reactors of 2-in. and 6.5-ft diameters used for the catalytic hydrogenation of petroleum fractions. The columns were packed with commercial cylindrical catalyst pellets of -in. diameter and length. A kinetic study of the electrophilic substitution of pyridine-N-oxides has also been carried out50b,c. Figure 10 shows in graphic form the utility of molten salt extractions for americium removal in one, two, and three stage extractions for various salt-to-metal extraction feeds. This graph demonstrates the impressive power of molten salt extraction systems for purification of plutonium from americium and related rare earth elements. 

The diagram below shows in graphical form the same property for alcohols. The two lines joining the four extreme values show the funnel-shaped configuration of values. It is the standard way of spotting the values of heteroscedasticity. 

An instructive description of the first-order perturbation treatment of the quadrupole interaction in Ni has been given by Travis and Spijkerman [3]. These authors also show in graphical form the quadrupole-spectrum line positions and the quadrupole-spectrum as a function of the asymmetry parameter r/ they give eigenvector coefficients and show the orientation dependence of the quadrupole-spectrum line intensities for a single crystal of a Ni compound.
