Hostile Reports of Anonymous Referees on Novelty in Graphical Bioinfomatics

Full reports of the two referees of the journal SAR and QSAR in Environment Research and the conunents of the authors of a paper developing the four color map model for DNA [1], [Pg.433]

I regret to inform you that our reviewers have now considered your paper but unfortunately feel it unsuitable for publication in SAR and QSAR in Environmental Research. For your information I attach the reviewer comments at the bottom of this email. I hope you will find them to be constructive and helpful. You are of course now free to submit the paper elsewhere should you choose to do so. [Pg.433]

Thank you for considering SAR and QSAR in Environmental Research. I hope the outcome of this specific submission wiU not discourage you from the submission of future manuscripts. [Pg.433]

This paper is in an area of great current interest providing a new way of analyzing biomolecular sequences. The current authors have been instrumental in snggesting several new methods to view DNA sequences. [Pg.433]

That said, the point of this kind of exercise is ostensibly to augment the tools of the biologist to unravel new features of DNA sequences and to assist in their work to understand the available sequences. The authors of this paper have already proposed several novel ways of viewing DNA sequences, but they do not seem to believe in the [Pg.433]
