Rate constants and the products formed in the hydrolysis of Cl Reactive Red 194 (7.76) at 50 °C and pH values in the 10-12 region were determined by high-pressure liquid chromatography. In addition to the normal hydrolysis of the two reactive systems, the imino link between the triazine and benzene nuclei was also hydrolysed [67]. The heterobifunctional copper formazan dye Cl Reactive Blue 221 and two blue anthraquinone monofunctional reactive dyes of the bromamine acid type, namely the aminochlorotriazine Blue 5 and the sulphatoethylsulphone Blue 19, were compared in terms of their sensitivity to... [Pg.394]

These are reddish blue 1 1 copper-complex monoazo dyes derived from a 2-naphthylamine-or 2-aminonaphtholsulphonate as diazo component and another aminonaphtholsulphonate as coupler. Often such dyes are more easily prepared using a 2-naphthylaminesulphonate and oxidatively coppering the resulting monoazo dye (section 5.5.3). In orthodox structures the imino link of H acid carries the reactive system (7.99), but in other instances the naphthylamine diazo component provides the site of attachment of a haloheterocyclic (7.100) or sulphatoethylsulphone (7.101) grouping. [Pg.405]

MLCT optical transition the ene-linked alkynyl complex has an oscillator strength for this transition twice that of the imino-linked analogue. The two-level corrected is dependent on the difference in dipole moments between ground and excited states, and extinction coefficients of the relevant transition. Assuming that the excited state dipoles for these complexes are similar, and knowing dipole moments for these complexes are comparable, the three-fold enhancement in... [Pg.549]

The group at Isis Pharmaceuticals have reported further on their methylene-imino-linked dimers (see Vol. 26, p. 242) and, significantly, have extended their work to the preparation of 2 -0-methylated diribonucleotide analogues 226 by linking units of type 224 and 225 under radical conditions. The compounds of type 226 could also be AT-methylated. ... [Pg.297]

Full details on new methods for the synthesis of A/-alkyl- and N,lV-dialkyl-derivatives of 2-amino-2-deoxy-D-glucose (cf. Vol.26, Ch.9, ref.36) have been reported. Four 1,4-imino-linked carbadisaccharides, e.g. 63, were synthesized by reaction of methyl 4-amino-4-deoxy-a-D-glucoside with a cyclitol epimine. The 1,6-linked di-mnnno-analogue 64 was obtained similarly by reaction of methyl 6-amino-6-deoxy-a-D-glucoside with a cyclitol epoxide, and was found to be an inhibitor of Jack bean a-D-mannosidase. ... [Pg.122]

Several 1,4-imino-linked carbadisaccharides containing 2-amino-2-deoxy-5a-carba-glucopyranosyl residues as analogues of the potent a-glucosidase inhibitor, acarviosine have been prepared, and the preparation of a manwo-configurated (1 ->6)-imino-linked unsaturated derivative using the reaction of methyl 6-amino-6-deoxy-a-D-mannopyranose with epoxide 112 has been reported. [Pg.220]
