A number of conferences have now been held whose focus has been molecular sieve zeolites. The International Zeolite Association will have held the Fifth International Conference on Zeolites in Naples in June, 1980. The first such conference was organized by R. M. Barrer in London in 1967, and was followed by others in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1970, Zurich in 1973, and Chicago in 1977. Preceding these were the All-Union Conferences held in the USSR in 1961 and 1964 other European conferences have included the First All-Union Conference - on Molecular Sieves in Catalysis held in Novosibirsk in 1976, the Symposium on Zeolites held in Szeged, Hungary in 1978, and the Symposium on Catalysis by... 

Many other countries operate pollution inventories, such as Austria, Canada, Denmark, Netherlands, France, Germany, Hungary, Mexico, Norway, Scotland, Spain, and Sweden. The policies do tend to differ slightly from one another. In particular, the substances requiring reporting and their associated thresholds can vary significantly. Unfortunately, not all the countries operate this kind of inventories thus the amount of toxics released around the world remains unknown. 

The association of the ores of copper with those of other metals is probably the cause of the production of alloys of varying composition by the prehistoric smelters. The earliest copper tools of Britain contain tin those of Hungary up to 4-5 per cent, of antimony.4... 

Gold is almost always associated with silver and copper. It is found in South Africa, America, Russia, Australia, Hungary, Sweden, and... 

Most of the student body of Ethicd Culture, probably more than 85%, was Jewish and quite wealthy. This gave my parents no problem, but in retrospect it seems ironic. We had left Hungary largely because of antisemitism there and to start over in the New World where we could get assimilated. Now all my friends were Jewish and so were most of my father s associates in show business.

Last but not least, there has been an issue of the regulatory environment that cannot be avoided (Paal 1987). Hungary is an associated country to the European Union (EU). Harmonization of the present Hungarian medicines legal system with that of the EU, with special emphasis on the White Paper harmonization requirements (European Commission 1995) requires a more detailed discussion.
