Human rights meaning

Many businesses now have a formal company policy statement on hmnan rights [12]. For example, the energy company BP published Human Rights A Guidance Note in 2006 [13]. The purpose of the note is to explain what human rights means in the context of BP s activities and to provide guidance for leaders and employees ...

He understands that the statement John Doe is mentally ill. really means Commit John Doe to a mental hospital (or Take away his driver s license, his job, his right to stand trial, etc. ). Traceability builds on the idea of transparency but is focused on mapping the journey of the product rather than mapping the supply chain. In essence, this definition states that traceability is the ability to identify and quantify the sustainability impacts in the supply chain.

Lack of historical and geographical perspective often means that we fail to realize how mnch morality changes from time to time and from place to place. Attitudes to human rights and to animal welfare illustrate this very clearly. 

Only clause 4, with its reference to basic human rights, offers aity help in these situations. If the term basic human rights is to have aity meaning, it must surely include the right not to be murdered or arbitrarily imprisoned. This should prevent a member of the BCS working on systems 3 and 4. The position regarding system 2 is less clear. The apparent weakness of the Code in these areas probably reflects the lack of a consensus among the Society s members.
