So, how do we use sensitivity data We use it by comparing the sensitivity of a new composition to other compositions with a history of manufacturing and handling safety. If the sensitivity results for a new material are comparable to those for a material with a history of accidents, special caution is called for. This approach only works when the sensitivity data are obtained using the same type of test apparatus, preferably the identical device with the tests run by the same test operator.
