2 High performance liquid bioaffinity chromatography (HPLAC) of proteins 

The presence of HK in the column effluent produces an increase in absorbance at 340 nm, the presence of PGK decreases the absorbance at 340 nm. 

It can be expected that the HPLAC will find wide application in the resolution of enzymes and other proteins of clinical or biotechnological significance especially when coupled to the high-speed fully automated chromatographic profiling systems reported here.
