Heroin crack cocaine

Some individuals take Rohypnol with heroin to enhance the high. This may be particularly tme for users of low-quality heroin, according to The National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information. Users of cocaine and crack cocaine may snort crushed Rohypnol or take Rohypnol pills after using cocaine to ease some of the negative side effects. 

In an interview study (Robson and Bruce 1997), the dependence potential of various street drugs was assessed in 201 problem and 380 social users of heroin, cocaine or amphetamine using the well-validated Severity of Dependence Scale (SDS). Scores (maximum = 15) in the problem group were 12.9 for heroin, 9.6 for other opioids, 6.1 for amphetamine and 5.5 for crack cocaine. All of these scores were consistent with findings in other studies. Cannabis SDS score was 2.6 and comparable with those of LSD (3.1) and ecstasy (1.3), two drugs that are generally not associated with physical or psychological dependence. In the parallel sample of social users, the cannabis SDS was similar at 3.4. 

For instance, heroin, cocaine, crack, amphetamine, crystal meth (methamphetamine), cannabis, PCP, nicotine, alcohol. 

In contrast, some drugs of abnse prodnce intense craving and are highly addictive bnt do not prodnce physical dependence. The absence of physical dependence indicates the relative lack of physiological withdrawal. This is not synonymous with meaning that discontinuation of these componnds may not be psychologically nncomfortable. Two examples are marijnana and cocaine. One need only look to the recent crack epidemic to see evidence of the way these substances can destroy lives, bnt they do not produce tolerance or risk of withdrawal to the same extent as alcohol or heroin. As a result, we would say that the daily crack or marijuana user meets the dehnition of substance dependence bnt does not exhibit true physical (or physiological) dependence. 

Some street names for cocaine include blow, C, Charlie, coke, crack, dynamite, happy dust, nose candy, rock, snow, snuff, stardust, toot, and white lady. The combination of cocaine and heroin is termed speedball. 

In the past decade. Ecstasy use has exploded. In fact, although overall illicit drug use by teens markedly decreased in the past several years — including use of marijuana, inhalants, hallucinogens, LSD, cocaine, crack, heroin, tranquilizers, alcohol, cigarettes, and smokeless tobacco — Ecstasy use continued to rise, unabated (Figure 5.1). 

Crack, an inexpensive but powerfully addictive form of smokable cocaine, becomes increasingly popular. Meanwhile, heroin becomes less popular as fear of overdoses and AIDS make needle use seem much more risky.

Some heroin addicts use Rohypnol to intensify the heroin high. Officials say this may be particularly true of users of low-quality heroin. Cocaine addicts may use Rohypnol to mellow cocaine s high and to ease themselves down from a crack or cocaine binge. Some drug abusers call Rohypnol landing gear, when it is used in this manner. 

Any Illicit Drug refers to marijuana/hashish, cocaine (including crack), heroin, hallucinogens (including LSD and POP), inhalants, or any prescription-type psychotherapeutic used nonmedically.
