Hercules Behavioral synthesis

Behavioral transformations operate on the BIF model, which is generated by parsing the input HardwareC description. Upon completing the behavioral transformations, the optimized BIF is translated to the sequencing graph representation described in SIF. [Pg.44]

The Hercules system provides an integrated environment for the behavioral synthesis and optimization of hardware behavior. It performs both user-driven and automatic behavioral transformations, and produces as output one or more sequencing graph abstractions of the optimized behavior, described in SIF. The flow of operation in Hercules is described below. [Pg.239]

Hercules Kymene 557 is the cationic, water-soluble, wet strength resin, which conservators know because of its use in the manufacture of calcium carbonate filled P/D paper. In its synthesis, a condensation polymer of adipic acid and diethylene triamine is reacted with epichloro-hydrin to introduce reactive epoxy groups. The behavior of Kymene in dispersed fiber has been investigated by Bates (6,7). [Pg.206]

We overview in this chapter the hardware modeling language and synthesis flow in Hercules and Hebe. Section 2.1 describes the modeling of hardware behavior using HardwareC [KM90a]. HaidwaieC supports constraint specification and ext ual synchronizations. Section 2.2 presents a brief overview of the ovoall synthesis flow in Hercules and Hebe. [Pg.19]
