Herbicidal activity against

Bromo-6-(3-pyridyl)-2,3-dihydro-imidazo[2,l- ]thiazole 481 was reported to be herbicidally active against Setaria, Sinapis, and Stellaria <1996MI247>. [Pg.190]

Substituted-thiazolo[3,2-A][l,2,4]triazoles have been investigated showing high herbicidal activity against diseases office <2004JAP 182623, 2002W0102809>. [Pg.289]

Herbicidal and chemotherapeutic activity have also been noted in other dihydropyrimidines. Certain 5,5-dihalo-6-methoxydihydropyrimidines, especially the 3-substituted derivatives such as (LXXXIll), are reported to have herbicide activity against many grasses and broad-leaf weeds [645] (herbicidal activity of some corresponding A -substituted uracils has been discussed in the preceding section). The compounds can generally be prepared by halogenation of uracil derivatives in alcohol [646, 647]. [Pg.319]

Indolin-2-on-3yl)hydrazino-5,6,7,8-tetrahydrobenzo[fe]thieno[2,3-d]-pyrimidine 185 showed 10-20% herbicidal activity against pigweed, velvet leaf, red millet, green foxtail, and soya bean (81JHC1277). [Pg.235]

This is a relatively new class of preemergent herbicides active against most grass at economical rates, with very little activity towards broadleaf... [Pg.178]

Sugar herbicide RE 39571, 5,6-dideoxy-l,2-0-(l-methylethylidene)-3-0-(2-methylphenylmethyl)-a-D-xylo-hexofuranose (Figure 1), a representative of a novel series of chiral grass herbicides, has been demonstrated in our laboratories to possess a high level of preemergence herbicidal activity against grassy weeds with safety on soybeans, cotton, peanuts, and several other broadleaf crops. This herbicide has also been demonstrated to possess some broadleaf weed activity. [Pg.130]

Dialkyl- and 2,5,7-trialkylpyrimido[4,5-postemergence herbicidal activity against grassy and broad-leaved plant species.117 2-(5-Nitro-2-furyl)pyrimido[4,5-<7]pyrirnidin-4-amines possess antibacterial activities,118 and some pyri-mido[4,5-ef]pyrimidines exhibit a remarkable diuretic activity.11,119,120 Pyrimido[4,5-t/]-pyrimidine-4-thiol was found to be a weak inhibitor of L. casei.106... [Pg.374]

Hydantocidin. A metabolite isolated from culture broths of Streptomyces hygroscopicus (SANK 63584) with a potent, non-selective herbicidal activity against annual and perennial monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weeds. [Pg.299]

Herbimycin was found to have potent herbicidal activity against most mono- and dicotyledonous plants, especially against Cyperus microiria STEUD but strong resistance by Oryza saliva [173]. It was also reported that herbimycins showed cytocidal activity on both HeLa cells and Ehrlich cells in vitro and could convert the transformed morphology of Rous sarcoma virus-infected rat kidney cells to the normal ones [177]. However, interest in geldanamycin and herbimycin increased greatly upon the discovery of their potent antitumor activity at nanomolar concentrations [178, 179]. [Pg.716]

Peumus boldus Mol. Limonene, 1,8-cineole, Herbicidal activity against Teuscher et al. (2004),... [Pg.687]

Table III shows the effect of alkyl groups bond to nitrogen of an aminocarbonyl substituent at the 3-position. Although all of the analogs showed high safety on com, no compound was found to be superior to 81 950 with respect to herbicidal activity against crab grass. Table III shows the effect of alkyl groups bond to nitrogen of an aminocarbonyl substituent at the 3-position. Although all of the analogs showed high safety on com, no compound was found to be superior to 81 950 with respect to herbicidal activity against crab grass.
Influence of SUxstituents Y on the Pyridine Ring of Fluazifop EOyl on Herbicidal Activity against Barny Grass (3L) (Reproduced with permission from Ref. 6 copyright 1987 the Pesticide Science Society of Japan)... [Pg.109]

The herbicidal activities of hydantocidin and comexistin against annual monocotyledonous plants are shown in Table 2. The results are also compared with those of glyphosate and bialaphos. Hydantocidin and comexistin had potent herbicidal activity against most of the monocotyledonous plants, almost or great as glyphosate, and stronger than bialaphos. [Pg.78]

The herbicidal activities of hydantocidin and comexistin against dicotyledonous plants are shown in Table 3. Hydantocidin and comexistin also had potent herbicidal activities against dicotyledonous plants, but the killing effects on these plants were non-selective. One notable exception was that of corn seedings which were able to tolerate comexistin. [Pg.78]

In conclusion, hydantocidin and comexistin show non-selective, broad spectrum herbicidal activity against annual plants including mono- and dicotyledonous weeds. In addition, hydantocidin had potent herbicidal activity against perennial plants, and comexistin may be useful for postemergence weed control with selective protection of com. [Pg.84]

In lA series, optimization was focused on the modification of substituents R and Y . Most lA showed good herbicidal activity against dicotyledonous plants at 2.25 kg ai/ha. In order to examine the effect of R R and R" in flie... [Pg.45]

The data in Table 2.17 showed that most lA exhibited good post-emergence herbicidal activity against dicotyledon. Therefore structure lA was identified as the lead stmcture of a new herbicide and this lead structure was first extended to a phosphonate stmcture lo for further chemical modification (Scheme 2.11). [Pg.65]
