In the REACH smdy involving the Medical College of Georgia and five rural hospitals in Georgia, 12 of 75 (16%) patients evaluated received rt-PA, all without intracranial hemorrhagic complications.

Competition between drugs for plasma binding sites occurs and is responsible for some of the clinically most important changes in drug distribution. Anticoagulants and continuous intravenous infusion of epoprostenol are the standard treatments for primary pulmonary hypertension.
