Handling Teratogens in the Community

This is a auch different situation than the last two because aost of the public is notoriously unknowledgable about how to handle chemicals, and little control of their actions is possible. Hence potent teratogens should not be put in the hands of the public. Die use of weak ones in consuaer products should be avoided as auch as possible, and if used, they should be in foras and concentrations where the possibility of adverse effects is remote. Labels with warnings and directions for proper use are of course essential, and indeed are often required by law. [Pg.259]
