The CIB tests consisted of compartments with heights ranging from 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5 m with dimension ratios of D/H, W/H, H/H coded as data sets 211, 121, 221 and 441. A total of 321 experiments were conducted in still air conditions. The wood crib fuel loading ranged from 10 to 40 kg/m2 with stick spacing to stick thickness ratios of 1 and 3. The data are plotted in Figures 11.17 and 11.19. The compartment surface area, A, excludes the floor area in the plot variables.

The performance of the reference interface is characterised in Vilim (2007). In that work the GPASS/H code was used to determine the full power condition, the combined plant efficiency and the partial power load schedule. The values of the main operating parameters are summarised in Table 1.

Although the first versions of these metrics were developed from SDS that used risk phrases (R-phrases) and safety phrases (S-phrases), the metrics have been revised to adapt them to GHS, which required a new definition of the criteria to score the hazards and assess the accomplishment of the GC principles. As in GHS the systemization of the hazards in classes and categories, to which hazard statements are assigned (hazard codes or H codes), is more detailed than in the system of the R- and S-phrases, the change provided a finer evaluation of hazards and made easier the construction of the metrics. The revision included also an improvement of the graphic look of the green star to increase the facility of reading the individual scores of the principles. These new versions of the metrics are those discussed in this text. 

The strategy for construction of the metrics will be exemplified here very briefly for the case of the green star when used to evaluate a synthesis reaction. A tool for its implementation can be accessed in the net, in a specific site. The tool calculates the metric automatically upon introduction of the data, by applying the criteria defined in two tables mentioned below (table H codes/score of hazards and table score of hazards/scores of principles ), that are included in it. The site provides also an example of the use of green star that shows the results along the construction of the metric.

Gene H codes for the lower collar protein (NP3). Since H-particles contain, besides the normal capsid proteins and DNA, only the upper collar (NP2) and tail (TPl) proteins, these two proteins may interact in the head base to determine the proper assembly of the capsid. An alternative possibility to account for the shape-determining function of the tail protein (TPl) would be that it plays a dual role, catalytic and structure, at two different stages of 29 assembly. In any case, the lower collar protein seems to be assembled after the tail protein.
