Group VA-Containing Organotin Polymers

These materials range from liquids to solids. Similar polymers and copolymers can be made from monomers such as 62. Suggested uses for there materials are as laminating, molding, varnish, embedding, and elastomeric resins. 

Polymeric organotin arsonates, 64, are formed from the reaction of dialkyltin dihalides and disodium salts of organoarsonic acids or similarity by reaction with silver arsenate. This was one of the first papers by Nobel-winner Alan MacDiarmid. 

Freireich et al. described the synthesis of poly(organotin phosphonates) from the reaction of dialkyltin dichlorides, tetralkyldichlorodistannoxanes, or hexaalkydichlorotristannoxanes with the disodium salt of phenylphosphonic acid, 65.
