DAMAGE THRESHOLD. The green apple aphid serves mainly as a food for beneficials and is very rarely harmful. Severe damage can occur only if there is explosive reproduction in nurseries and young orchards. [Pg.148]

DIRECT. Chemical control of the green apple aphid is seldom necessary if there is optimum conservation of beneficials. If treatment is needed, however, a pyrethrum-rotenone formulation or soap formulation can be used. Neem has no effect on the green apple aphid. [Pg.148]
