GRAPHIC BASIC 7.0 command

Operators. Each element of the interface can respond to the following basic commands, which when applied individually and in combination form the basis for realizing many of the adaptations create/destroy, attach graphic(s), move/stop, enlarge/ shrink, hide/show, dissolve/emerge, blur/glow, raise/lower, compose. 

The four Build Menus ia REACCS are Stmcture, Query, Top, and HighlightRxn. Stmcture menu contains the basic drawiag commands used to constmct the backbone of the stmcture. Query menu contains the commands used to add flexible stmctural parameters to the query. Top menu contains commands used to build reactions and to store and retrieve reactions, molecules, and graphic queries. HighlightRxn menu contains commands that apply atom/atom mapping and reaction centers to the current reaction. Atom/atom mapping is used to identify the reaction centers and iacrease accuracy and efficiency by letting the searcher specify that a particular atom ia a reactant must correspond to a particular atom ia the product. 

The hierarchical code organization is illustrated in Fig. 18.3. This is by code series and then individual codes. ADAS provides extensive Fortran and IDL subroutine libraries which are available for use in a user s own codes and analysis programs. The IDL subroutines support the user s interface to interactive ADAS and graphical presentation of results. Modular basic atomic calculation routines, utilities and access routines to the ADAS data classes are mostly provided in Fortran but generally with IDL versions which use the Fortran through C wrappers. In particular reaEadf .pro and run-adas.pro IDL procedures give access to ADAS data or run ADAS codes at the IDL command line - independent of interactive ADAS. The libraries now include 700 subroutines. 

BASIC 7.0 has almost every command a programmer would need. There are almost too many commands, extending the time it takes to learn a programming language. However, you need not memorize every command just learn commands as you need them. You ll at least want to be aware of the commands that are available so that you won t reinvent the wheel by POKEing your way to sound or graphics.
