Granule form

Liquid or granulate form Anson units standardized in milk clotting activities. 

Tn comparing the content of drug extract in the final product, teas in granule form are usually very much inferior to instant teas which arc prepared from spray-dried extracts teas in granular form, in addition to 97 -98% filler and carrier substances often contain only 2-3% dry extract, while in spray-dried products almost ten times as much, viz on average 20%, drug extract is present. 

Zeolites are naturally occurring hydrous aluminum-sodium silicates in porous granule form. They are capable of exchanging their sodium base for calcium or magnesium and of expelling these alkaline earth metals for sodium by treatment with salt. Thus, they are a type of ion-exchange media. (Some zeolites act as molecular sieves by adsorption of water and polar compounds.)... 

Lipid-soluble food grade copper chlorophyll is manufactured similarly by extraction of adequate plant material, followed by replacement of magnesium by copper, and purihcation steps to remove carotenoids, waxes, sterols, oils, and other minor components that are co-extracted. Commercial copper chlorophylls may vary physically, ranging from viscous resins to fluid dilutions in edible oils as well as granulated forms and emulsions standardized with edible vegetable oil. Granulated fly ash [6] can substitute for Portland cement to an extent of 40% to 60%. Fly ash is used in granulated form and has a moisture content around 10% to 20%. The formulation can be used for cementing oil and gas wells within a temperature range of 20° to 250° C. The solution has reduced water absorption and increased sedimentation stability. A formulation [1388] is shown in Table 18-2. Hydrosil (Aerosil) is used to increase the adhesion of the produced cement rock to the casing string. It also reduces the density and water absorption. 

Commercial plastics HDPE, PP, PS and PVC in granulate form have been used as model feed. The degradation of pure polymers was followed using either at thermoanaly-tical method (MOM Derivatograph Q) or in a laboratory batch reactor system with gaschromatographic product analysis. 

Commercially available cationic starches for wet end application are quaternary and tertiary products. These products have been available since about the mid 1950 s and no new basic chemistry has been developed since that time. The development in the late 1940 s and early 1950 s of starch ethers and esters made in the original granule form led to a torrent of starch derivatives for industrial use.
