Gold reagents

Sodium azide inhibits peroxidase enzyme, therefore it should be left out from the diluents used with PO-immunoglobulin conjugates. Add 0.05% Tween-20 when diluting gold reagents.

First devices developed in the early 80s had been built on paper strips developed with an appropriate gold reagent in a plastic tube in the presence of urine or serum [16,17].
