From the multiplicity of its n.m.r. spectrum, it seems unlikely that the compound obtained from hexafluorobut-2-yne and the gold complex MeAuPPhg has the structure (78). 

The couplings Vcp = 34.2 Hz and /cp = 10.2 Hz for the bridging carbon atoms adjacent to the phosphorus atoms have been observed by Kaub et in the C H NMR spectrum of the gold complex,... 

The reaction of the anionic gold(I) complex PPN[Au(C6F5)Cl] with [MeSi Me2SiN (p-tol) 3SnLi(OEt2)] leads to formation of an anionic complex with a Sn—An bond, shown in Equation 3.8, whose P H NMR spectrum shows a singlet at 47.5 ppm [81]. 

The absorption spectrum of this complex displayed an intense absorption at 320 nm (e = 44870 M-1 cm-1) assigned to a 5d( 6p(a) transition influenced by gold-gold interactions. This complex showed a broad emission at 520 nm by excitation in a range between 300 and 400 nm, with a lifetime of 11.6 p,s in the solid state. This emission was assigned to the S —> Au interaction.
